Installation
------------

Install necessary Perl modules. On Debian/GNU Linux the following commands can
do this job:

# apt-get install perl apache
# apt-get install libfcgi-perl libapache-mod-fastcgi
# apt-get install libtemplate-perl
# apt-get install libmime-types-perl
# apt-get install libimage-imlib2-perl libimage-size-perl libimage-info-perl

install CGI::Lite from CPAN,  http://search.cpan.org/~smylers/CGI-Lite/Lite.pm
install Time::HiRes from CPAN http://search.cpan.org/~jhi/Time-HiRes/HiRes.pm
(if it is not installed with your Perl)

Create cache dir in the root of fastcgi-gallery:

# mkdir cache/
# chmod 2700 cache/
# setfacl -m u:www-data:rwx,m::rwx cache/
--------------------%<--------------------

If your system doesn't support ACL (setfacl command fails), grant read and
write access to FastCGI process.

Configure your Apache webserver. If you are not experienced with Apache, use
doc/httpd-example.conf as an example. You need option '+MultiViews' enabled,
so extension of index.fcgi can be hidden, for example:

http://rajo.platon.sk/index/en/show:gallery

instead of

http://rajo.platon.sk/index.fcgi/en/show:gallery
                           ^^^^^
This is a feature of Apache's CGI/FastCGI handler.
