Sorry but I am fairly new to PHP but love the script but I am stuck trying to pass a field to a trigger to make a folder.

I have this as one of my mysql fields:

Code:
$opts['fdd']['design_number'] = array(
  'name'     => 'Design Number',
  'select'   => 'T',
  'sort'     => true,
  'maxlen'   => 15
);

I am also using a trigger:
Code:
$opts['triggers']['insert']['after'] = 'new_folder.php';

What i can not seem to figure out is how can I pass the ['design_number'] data correctly to the trigger to create the folder.

My trigger is simple:

Code:
<?php
$structure = '\\Drawings\2013\["design_number"]';

if (!mkdir($structure, 0, true)) {
    die('Failed to create folders... it already exists');
}
?>

Please help if me if anyone can figure out what i am doing wrong
