Has anyone worked the code to allow only a few fields to be displayed on the list view, however when a record is being edited you have access to all fields?

I have a large contacts database which needs regular updating; however all I need to know is the name of the person I need to edit and so initially do not need to see the whole list of fields (which go off the side of my screen).

That's what the Display Options are for. Set ACPVDFL for a few fields and ACPVD for others.
