sorry doug,
I didn't seen your replay, because it was still set to 0 on the forum front site
Your replay ->
"Perhaps Ticketenddate should be defined as
Code:
Ticketenddate NOT NULL default CURRENT_TIMESTAMP on update CURRENT_TIMESTAMP"
Do you mean - the definition of the column in the MySQL Database?
I have tried it, but there is another column in the Database table - "Ticket Open Date" which is defined as current_timestamp and there is an MySQL error -> no two current_timestamps colums in one table possible
And when I create another table (within the same DB) with a current_timestamp column and connect to it via
lookup like this:
'values' => array(
'table' => 'dummy1',
'column' => 'Ticketenddate',
'description'=> 'Ticketenddate',
I get only a Dropdown without value instead of
current_timestamp like 2011-03-31 22:15:15 in the field
Can I make reasonable for you, what I am trying to describe here?
lg

it should be possible to edit this field( if the user wish to do so , if he wants to change the value, which in every case should be displayed as current_timestamp neverthless of the value stored in the DB -> by adding a new record or changing an old record(which has allready an "old" date as Ticket end date). This is in case of a dropdown not possible (by lookup a value from difrent table). If the user has not editting this field, the displayed current_timestamp value should be stored(updated) in the DB as new ticket end date

the user should be able to set the Ticket end date two days in the past(if he wants - this mean this field must be editable and have a pre - set value aof current _timestamp - even by old record which has allready a value for this field stored in the DB
I hope - my explanation of the problem is now possible to understand
:-)
