I really like this script and hope that I can use it for what I would like to do.
I would like to be able for members of a pool to pull up their membership information, change it if needed or leave it as is, but then to update the information into another mysql database. They would be able to do this by entering their name and password, which would then pull up their information.
Is this possible, and if so how much "coding" would be necessary, considering I am not very familiar with PHP.
Thanks.

afaik you are talking about row level permission system. this is not a part of phpMyEdit. it can be done by a system of triggers which will disallow change/delete of other rows than users. but this is quite complicated (some coding needed).
maybe you are looking for a content management system. have a look at metafox here at platon.sk.

I have actually figured out how to get a player's information to be displayed based on the username and password.
My question now deals with the "X" that is displayed above the player's information that when clicked will display all of the contents of the database. I have not been able to figure out how to eliminate that "X" and hope that someone can point me in the right direction.
