I am hiding a field with the 'options'=>'H' setting; however, I'm also setting a default value for the hidden field with the 'default' => value setting. When I do this and records are added, the hidden fields do not receive the default value when inserted. Is there a way to make hidden fields receive the default value?

Thanks for the response Doug. The default is not set in the MySQL schema because it is not the same for each editor of the table. However, it is constant for any given session and user. I've learned that if you include the 'A' option, the field is included in the insert statement. So 'options'=>'HA' seems to be the solution.
