Hi,

As I said in a previous post today, I have developed this project so it now implements subforms ... this uses JQuery.

I am thinking of forking this project and putting it on github (I just did a search on github and you don't appear to be distributing it there).

I'm completely new to this business of developing a project, open source or otherwise, and I'd just like to know how I have to act and what are the dos and don'ts to make sure nobody gets annoyed (or worse).

I presume I will be extending the project with the same GNU GPL... so could one of the developers behind the project just say the things I must do and mustn't do (to be a good citizen).

PS I will of course be mentioning the developers as stated at the top of the phpMyEdit.class.php file...

I wrote to the primary maintainer of phpMyEdit. Hopefully he will find time to reply to your post in the near future.
