I'm having an issue using the 'required' option with a HTML mce-cal field.

If I enter text in the tinyMCE HTML field and then hit [Save], a warning pops up to enter text in the HTML field. However, there is text in the field! If I do a reload on the page and then hit [Save] the warning doesn't popup and everything works ok.

Any ideas what I could have setup wrong?

Here is my option block:

$opts['fdd']['issue'] = array(
'name' => 'Issue',
'select' => 'T',
'escape' => false,
'required' => true,
'textarea' => array('html' => true, 'rows' => 2, cols' => 80),
'sort' => true
);

PME : 5.6
TINYMCE : 2.1.2

Thanks,
