It could be an extra screen,
- there would be a new option for fields whether it should appear in it or not
- boolean operators (OR, AND) (?)

you can use $opts['filters'] with standard sql query (where part) to limit displayed rows

yes sure,
but $opts are reserved to the developer.
My feature request is about a new mode (like 'List', 'Change', 'Delete'). It would be a 'Search' mode in which the end user could set himself the search request.

You can explicitly make field visible just on the filtering page (try ['options'] = 'F').
Or you can dynamically generate $opts['filters'] to according to selected operation and/or working user.

working since 3 months

Thats' exactly what I requested, did you post your patch to the CVS ?

Sure but a special page with a search form would be more convenient. Thanks anyway.

No, I didn't post it.
I have many patches pending and it is some work to keep my tree in sync with PME official tree.
I will open a feature request in the cvs in the next days.
