current filters (in F mode) are hardcoded into the class and allow very precisous filtering. however, this is sometimes not desirable. for example in a datetime field, i want to be able to click on whether to show rows only from february or january. i know this could be made by extra buttons and $opts['filters'], but that's not nice.
i imagine configuration like this:
| Code: |
$opts['fdd']['col_name']['filter'] = array ("date >= '2004-1-1' AND date <= '2004-1-31'" => "january 2004");
|
the questions:
- API (where to put this into fdd)
- whether to show the filter in post variables or not (preferably not, safety reasons)
- whether to use $tbmain and $idmain as aliases for table and column

Something similar to this is already written in the documentation.

It could be definitely useful feature.
