Sometimes due to technical bug, your Buddy List doesn’t appear whenever someone signs in to their AOL mail. You can quickly fix this issue by implementing some of the solutions shared below.
 One can set up the 'Buddy List' preference as automatic instead of manual
 Another solution is to log out of the mail, and then restart the program. Log in back to the AOL mail and check whether the error persists or not.
 Uninstall the AOL software and then reinstall it again. Ensure to take the back up of the necessary files first.
