You can create pellets by simply pressing a mixture of feed and water through a circular hole made in a piece or metal. A pellet is made by drilling a hole in metal and then putting feed on it. Then you drive your car over the hole to make it. You can make many pellets if you drill multiple holes. You can create the flat die presse by drilling the holes in a circular shape. It is an ideal pelletizing machine for large-scale high quality aquatic feed pellet production.
You are now faced with a problem: the wheel or roller travels faster outside the die than inside. This can affect the quality of the pellets and result in uneven wear. You can improve the process by making the die into a ring and placing the roller inside. Initialy, the roller was powered and the ring was just rolled underneath it. This technology was very similar to the flat-die, but now the die and roller were moving. This led to more positive extrusion. The ring die today is the driving force and the roller(s), coast inside. www.poultryfeedmachinery.com
