The collection of ultra-thin Octo Finissimo watches has been joined by three models wrapped in

gold. Two of them are made of pink-colored ore, and the last one is yellow gold, which is returning to favor.
10 years ago, the most important, new icon of watch design was created. Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani and his Bulgari design team have accomplished the impossible. The Octo Finissimo design, deeply rooted in the DNA and Italian philosophy of the brand's origin, probably delighted everyone, because something so innovative and fresh has not appeared in watches for a long time. One day, Octo will be referred to as Royal Oak,
Nautilus or Daytona, because it is an equally good project, in every detail. On the occasion of this year's Geneva Watch Days fair, Bulgari presented a set of new Octo models. We have already written about the flagship Skeleton 8 Days HERE. Three more references offer a watch in a classically finished gold.
The Octo Finissimo was previously available with a gold case and bracelet, but it was either gold with a matt sandblasted finish (already discontinued) or an option on a leather strap only. The new references exploit the precious metal to the limit,
offering watches entirely wrapped

in gold in a shade of pink or yellow. Equally important, they are combined with a brown, lacquered dial, perfectly contrasting with the colors of the case material.
The two Pink Gold models are the classic Octo with an automatic movement and the GMT chronograph variant. The first has a case measuring 40 mm, 6.4 mm thick and featuring an automatic BVL 138 caliber with a 60-hour power reserve,
closed under a sapphire caseback. The second is the case enlarged to 43 mm and 8.75 mm high. The chronograph is powered by the automatic caliber BVL 318,
which in addition to a stopwatch also offers a 24-hour time display in the second zone. The Octo Finissimo Automatic is combined with a gold bracelet that is extremely ergonomic and comfortable on the wrist,
with an integrated clasp. The chronograph, on the other hand, due to its size and weight, was combined with a brown alligator leather strap. The

first option costs 45,000 EUR (~ 212,000 PLN), while the chronograph is valued at 36,000 EUR (~ 170,000 PLN).
The last new Octo Finissimo, in my opinion, is also the most interesting of the three golden models. We are talking about a yellow gold variant created especially for the US market. This classic shade has definitely returned to favor recently. Finished with a satin finish and polished, the Octo has a 40 mm square case and the same automatic caliber as the rose gold version, closed under the sapphire caseback.
Celebrating 50 years of the brand's presence on the American market, Octo Finissimo Yellow Gold will be produced in a limited series of 50 copies. Each with a pure gold bracelet and a price tag of EUR 46,000 (~ PLN 217,000).
