If you are going to cancel a Virgin Australia reservation, keep the following points in mind.
If you need to cancel flights free of charge, your booking must be made seven days before departure.

According to the Virgin australia cancellation policy, group passengers have to cancel the flights by phone call. Moreover, they can contact the customer service team at any time on the region wise helpline number.
Suppose you booked two tickets by mistake. Virgin Australia Airlines allows cancellation of ticket with lower airfares. However, the flight ticket must be canceled at least 72 hours before the scheduled flight departure.
