Hi everyone! I've been looking to try something creative and was considering taking a pottery wheel class for beginners. I've never done this before—does anyone have experience with a one-time class like this? Is it beginner-friendly?

Hey there! Yes, I’ve recently tried a one-time wheel-throwing class at Pottery Studio 1 in Houston https://pottery-houston.com/one-day-pottery-wheel-classes-houston , and it’s perfect for beginners. Most of their attendees have no prior experience, so you’ll fit right in. The studio doesn’t require any long-term commitment, membership, or enrollment fee, which makes it easy to just sign up and try it out. The instructors are really friendly and guide you step-by-step, making sure you understand the basics of working with the pottery wheel. They help you create your own piece, whether it’s a bowl, mug, or vase, which you can pick up after firing. The process is very relaxing, thanks to the soothing motion of the wheel, so it’s a great way to relieve stress. The two-hour sessions offer flexible timing options, from morning to evening. I highly recommend trying it—it’s fun, creative, and you get to take home your own handmade item!
