SIP trunking, or Session Initiation Protocol calling, transfers voice calls over a SIP channel. A SIP channel is a virtual connection that lets you make calls without using old phone lines. Since it's all done online, you can even have multiple IP addresses.
The great thing about SIP calling is that it lets you make real-time calls over the Internet using your existing setup. Depending on your SIP provider, you can access various communication channels.
