Hello
I have entered the path to my root in the apparent place it should go in the config_inc.php, but I failed to affect the starting directory. It still opens in the root. Here is what I have:

$fm_cfg['dir']['root'] = '/home/acuitas2/public_html/';
$fm_cfg['dir']['start'] = 'client001';

It doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

Configuration variable
$fm_cfg['dir']['root']
has to be relative to phpWebFileManager location.
See notes in configuration file for more information.

I think I figured this out.
It works if:
fm_cfg['dir']['root'] = the location of the repository's root directory, relative to the location of the script directory. For example, if the script is in:
/home/public_html/filemanager
and the ftp repository directory is:
/home/public_html/myftpdir
Then,
fm_cfg['dir']['root'] = '../myftpdir';
If I wanted to ftp files to this root directory, then
fm_cfg['dir']['start'] = '';
If I wanted to make the start directory something else, it's location must be relative to the root's location. Thus, if I wanted to put files in:
/home/public_html/myftpdir/startdir
Then
fm_cfg['dir']['start'] = '/startdir';
Is this correct?

Yes, you are certainlly right, but write
fm_cfg['dir']['start'] = 'startdir/';
instead of
fm_cfg['dir']['start'] = '/startdir';

Verify the path you supplied in config_inc.php one more time

. Make that the root directory is pointed to correctly.
To prevent misunderstanding, use absolute routes rather than relative paths.
